About Morse Code
Morse code is a method of encoding text characters using signals of two different durations: dots (.) and dashes (-). It was developed by Samuel Morse and Alfred Vail in the 1830s and 1840s for use with the telegraph.
In modern usage, Morse code employs standardized sequences of dots and dashes to represent letters, numbers, and punctuation marks. Each letter or symbol is separated by a space, and words are typically separated by a forward slash (/) or three spaces.
